Black Caf Cold Brew Copycat Recipe
How many times have I run into Galaxys Edge to grab this coffee, take a pic with the millennium falcon and then leave? Too many!!! This coffee is just the best because of its unique sweet cream cheese topping and who has time to make that at home- until now!
After trying this in the parks more times than I can count I tried every “copycat” recipe I could find and hated all of them! So I came up with this on my own and as long as I put on some background Disneyland sounds from youtube it really does feel the same. But cheaper. Lets get into it.
Ingredients:
1 cup cold brew (Or my favorite 1 cup cold water + 1 Tablespoon instant espresso)
2 Tablespoons heavy whipping cream
1 Tablespoon whipped cream cheese (or regular cream cheese softened- Whipped is just easier)
1 Tablespoon sugar
Cocoa Puffs
1 Table spoon vanilla syrup (optional) - Checkout my homemade recipe here
Directions:
* My go to instant espresso recipe. 1 cup water + 1 Tablespoon instant espresso. Nescafe blonde is my favorite! Amazon has it the cheapest but can normally find it at a grocery store or if you love it- Costco!
Start by pouring your cold brew or instant coffee over ice. If you like your coffee extra sweet, add some optional vanilla syrup to this part.
In a separate cup, mix heavy whipping cream, whipped cream cheese, and sugar. Simply whisk together with a frother or for an EVEN thicker texture, whip it up with a hand blender.
Pour the whiped topping on top of the coffee, add cocoa puffs and turn on some Galaxys Edge background music to feel like your there.
Optional:
Don’t have any heavy cream on hand? Half and half works well too but will not thicken up as much. It will just make it more of a creamer to mix with the coffee rather than sit on top for those Instagram photos. Still yummy!
